Argyle Eye Care is a NO PUFF ZONE! Have you dreaded the “eye puff” at your eye exam? We no longer need to use a puff of air to check the pressure in your eyes. The iCare tonometer is a more accurate measuring device than the traditional air-puff, as well as a lot less annoying!
OPTOS
Have you ever been able to see the inside of your own eye? At Argyle Eye Care, we can do exactly that thanks to our Optos ultra-widefield retinal imaging device. With Optos, we’re able to capture a highly detailed image of your retina and as much as 82% of the inside of your entire eye! Being able to inspect more of the interior structure of the eye allows us to better detect eye disease and monitor structures for potentially harmful changes. And yes, you can look at your own images, too!
Did you know that the front of your eye has multiple curves? It has small contours that can affect the fit of your contact lenses.
To ensure the best fit of your contact lenses, Argyle Eye Care uses a corneal topographer to measure the curvature of the cornea to get a more precise contact lens fitting. Much like looking at a map to see the terrain and landscape contours, our corneal topographer identifies the curvature in different areas of your corneas. It also allows us to look closely at some of the oil-producing glands in the eyelids for help in identifying dry-eye disease and its related issues.
Argyle Eye Care uses biomicroscope imaging to take pictures of the front part of your eyes by using a high-tech camera attached to the microscope in the exam room. This allows us to monitor issues closely as well as show you what we are looking at.
At Argyle Eye Care, we believe that glasses should feel like they have a custom fit to your face. That’s why we use the Optikam.
The Optikam is a measuring device that enables us to measure the fit of the frame to your face. This allows us to consider the individual way each frame fits. This device allows us to factor in the tilt and wrap of the frame in a more natural setting that optimizes the optics of the lenses. You’re able to see the best out of your custom lenses if they are fit properly to your unique facial features.
